Dr Carole Adam
Carole Adam is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at University Grenoble Alpes (France) and a researcher at Grenoble Informatics Laboratory. She holds a M.Sc and Ph.D degrees in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Toulouse. She is now teaching Multi-Agent Systems, Agent-Based Modelling, and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Grenoble.
Her main research interests concern human behaviour modelling, with a particular focus on emotions and their interplay with decision-making and behaviour.
She has studied in particular the advantages of the BDI architecture, and tools to favour its use in social simulation. Her research is applied to agent-based modelling and simulation for crisis management, urban planning, or economy.
