To assist professionals across the sector SMART Infrastructure Facility is holding a Masterclass on New perspectives in transport economics and project evaluation.
This Masterclass is developed and taught by internationally renowned transport economics and evaluation expert Dr Clifford Winston, Senior Fellow - The Brookings Institution, plus Australia’s leading infrastructure economists Professor Henry Ergas and Dr Mark Harrison.
This valuable Masterclass provides access to knowledge and tools that will assist you to understand the economic effects of transport projects: assessing their impacts and evaluating their benefits.
The one-day program has been designed to meet the needs of executives, managers and professionals in both the private and public sectors, who require continuous communication to keep up-to-date with the latest thinking.
Over the day you will learn about:
- Economic benefits of transport projects and project evaluation
- Assessing impacts of transport projects on land use, competition, productivity and the labour market
- Choosing discount rates for very long lived transport projects and PPPs
- Impacts of congestion and of congestion charging, including impacts on labour market performance and land values
